NYC Upper East Side Electrical Contracting firm looking to hire a temporary to permanent data entry / admin assistant. This is an in-person Monday - Friday position and the hours are 8AM – 4:30PM. The role includes clerical as well as operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in some capacity of QuickBooks and of the electrical contracting industry. We are looking to fill to position immediately.

Responsibilities include:

Accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Transfer data from paper formats into QuickBooks system.

Filing for utility and city permits.

Front desk operation, answering phones and appointment scheduling.

Filing and updating office filing system.

Assist with other related duties as requested or required.

Qualifications:

Some knowledge of Con Edison and NYC Dept. of Buildings filings and permits.

Must have knowledge of QuickBooks

Excellent phone, verbal and written / email communication.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.

Dependable and punctual.

General knowledge of accounting functions and capacity to learn quickly (willing to teach)

Ability to prioritize, multitask and computer savvy.
