Interns provide actuarial and related assistance with respect to pricing,
product development, valuation, risk analysis and management, and retirement
plan support. This internship is for 10 weeks during the summer.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ANDDUTIES:Depending on the particular
assignment, the Actuarial Development Program Intern may:
support risk analyses performed with respect to thecompany's actuarial liabilities and capital position to ensure adequatereserving and financial strength of annuity and life insurance productlines, as well as overall financial strength of the company
perform asset and liability modeling and analyses oflife insurance and annuity products
perform asset adequacy testing and analyses of lifeinsurance and annuity lines of business
provide actuarial assistance in support of new andexisting pension business, including the testing of retirement plans forcompliance with non-discrimination rules and actuarial valuation ofdefined benefit plans
support development of pricing structure and design ofannuity products, including determination of rates, dividend scales andpolicyholder illustrations
perform valuations of actuarial reserves andliabilities
Required Skills:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree inmathematics, actuarial science or related field
Graduating between December 2020 and August 2022
GPA of 3.0 or higher
At least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam passed
Preferred Skills:
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Leadership potential
Technical skills
