ROLE SUMMARYThe US Vaccines Clinical Informatics lead develops and executes Clinical Informatics (CI) and Health Information Technology (HIT) initiatives that support USMA Vaccines medical goals and objectives. This role will be responsible for all aspects of projects to ensure strategic alignment with the vaccines portfolio objectives and implement the projects in accordance with all Pfizer compliance and operating procedures. The role will require significant budget management of all projects.The incumbent should be experienced with designing, evaluating, interpreting, and summarizing, complex clinical informatic analyses. Additionally, there will be a need to collaborate with cross-functional partners on projects involving analyses of electronic medical records and providing training on clinical informatics. The incumbent will gain experience in the increasingly complex adult immunization field on a priority brand for Pfizer.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The US Vaccines Clinical Informatics lead leads, develops, and executes Clinical Informatics (CI) and Health Information Technology (HIT) initiatives that support USMA Vaccines medical goals and objectives.

Lead the USMA vaccines medical organization in HIT/EMR strategies and tactics in all aspects of vaccine implementation, including ensuring strategic alignment, manage budget, facilitate MRC approval, training, and implementation of HIT resources in accordance with all Pfizer guidance and operating procedures.

Serve as subject matter expert for Vaccine HIT/EMR, including expertise, membership, or consultation in Enterprise-wide HIT Center of Excellence and/or Committees as appropriate.

Supports the HIT CoE approval of appropriate vaccine HIT resources and tools.

Recognized Medical Affairs subject matter expert in Electronic Health Record (EHR) clinical use, as well as HIT/clinical informatics resources evaluation and development processes.

As needed, may provide clinical informatics expertise on non- and low-interventional research study teams, including medical algorithm modeling studies utilizing the HER

Lead the USMA engagement in pharmacy clinical alerts across the vaccines franchise

Maintain required level of knowledge of CDC recommended vaccines, providing therapeutic area information to both internal and external stakeholders as needed

Provide leadership in translation of CDC recommendations to EHR, including coding required for risk based recommendations

Manages CI-related work, vendors, budgets, and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with USMA vaccines leadership

Oversees and prepares vaccine HIT submissions for HIT CoE, medical review committee (MRCs)

Demonstrate expertise in communication across multiple channels, including, but not limited to, live and virtual presentations in small or large settings, written communication, and telephone or virtual conversations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSCandidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Master's degree or Terminal healthcare Doctorate Degree (PharmD/PHD) from a U.S. accredited program required

Minimum 8 years of experience with master's degree; Minimum 6 years of experience with Terminal healthcare Doctorate Degree (PharmD/PHD) in healthcare or other related experience and experience in the clinical, functional, and technical application of HIT systems used in the U.S.

Experience developing and leading implementation of large, complex EHR or digital health clinical solutions

Recognized subject matter expert in Clinical Informatics

Broad understanding of healthcare market integration including medical groups/IDNs, health policy, employer market and both regional and national health care landscapes

Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed team environment

Strong business acumen, project management, strategic thinking skills with demonstrated flexibility

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Professional CI or HIT certification from a nationally recognized organization

Residency, clinical and/or healthcare organization management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Vaccine Experience

Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry

Experience analyzing healthcare data

Understanding of the complex business environment within the US healthcare system as well as emerging healthcare trends
