Only qualified internal candidates will be considered for this position. SUMMARY : This position is responsible for the supervision and planning of activities for approximately 30 stores employees represented by the TCU organization in the receipt, storage, and distribution of LIRR materials and supplies. RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervise Stores Department employees represented by the TCU organization.

Monitor and correct problems with the Stores warehouse equipment (WMS/Hi-low move manager) and any technical problems as they arise.

Ensure that material is shipped and delivered in a safe and timely manner.

Supervise staff to set up and maintain new as well as existing satellite warehouse.

Ensure that all supervised TCU employees' records are updated for attendance, training, and safety.

Ensure policies and procedures for all functions are followed.

All other related activities as requested.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent (GED/TASC) approved by a State’s Department of Education or recognized accredited organization.

Minimum of six years related experience, including working knowledge of procedures for warehousing, material distribution, receipting and storage.

Must posses prior supervisory experience.

Must be familiar with all aspects of a Stores receiving operations, vehicle fleet operations, and shop floor operations.

Must be familiar with the policy and procedures of general procurement/logistics Stores

Familiarity with warehouse systems WMS/MAXIMO.

Familiarity with Logistical Inventory Management Systems (LIMS) or equivalent.

Must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).

Must possess effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Basic knowledge and understanding of TCU labor agreement and work rules preferred.
