Description We are seeking a Controller to join our team based in Rochester, New York. This role is focused on various accounting functions in the industry. As a Controller, you will be overseeing accounting operations, including the completion of audits that are currently behind schedule. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the completion of pending audits Handle general ledger (G/L) operations Conduct financial reporting for the company Take charge of cash management procedures Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable operations Initiate budgeting procedures, if feasible Use accounting software systems such as Sage/Timberline for maintaining and updating financial data Leverage your skills in accounting functions and budget processes to enhance financial operations Implement accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) procedures efficiently Ensure adherence to auditing standards and procedures. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial leadership role such as Controller or similar. Proven experience with Accounting Software Systems. Proficiency in performing all Accounting Functions. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Auditing. Familiarity with Budget Processes and ability to contribute to strategic financial planning. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. Ability to work independently, with little supervision. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
