ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include: Work-up and conservative management and treatment of: Overactive bladder with and without urinary incontinence; Interstitial cystitis/ radiation cystitis; Pessary fitting and pessary care and Urinary tract infections. Additional responsibilities: Understanding of urogynecological operative procedures, and in- office procedures; Preoperative education, teaching; Participation in the clinical education of Fellows, Residents and Medical Students and Teaching of group classes/ patient education. Requirements: NP or PA Certification required from approved program; Experience with routine gynecologic outpatient care preferred; Prior urogynecology, urology, or geriatric experience helpful but not required (extensive on the job training will be provided); Desire to work with population with average age range of 60 and Familiarity with electronic medical records a plus.Qualifications QualificationsNurse PractitionerRequires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.Physician AssistantCompletion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn.
