The qualified individual would have extensive clinical experience and knowledge and be able to effectively work collaboratively with expert physician colleagues in establishing, demonstrating and illustrating best practice standardization in subspecialty clinical areas.In addition, following enterprise standardization, the established best practice content would be illustrated and represented in AskMayoExpert. The qualified individual may be leading practice consensus requiring communication across the enterprise and dissemination and ongoing maintenance of best practice content across the practice. Communication, collaboration in controversial, busy, high volume practice areas is essential. The ability to concisely communicate and build consensus amongst clinician experts is essential.Duties
Support the assessment and triage of core clinical content requests, including feedback requests and requests for new or updated content
Lead knowledge elicitation efforts for new and existing content, including direct communication and follow-up with individual subject matter experts (SMEs)
Present options for optimal organization and/or display of clinical content, in collaboration with editorial staff
Facilitate annual review of assigned published content or off-cycle updates dictated by changes in clinical practice
Identify and frame appropriate clinical questions to SMEs and/or KCBs
Assist with identification of appropriate SMEs and/or KCBs to address specific clinical questions
Identify and define clinical pearls or other key pieces of information
Identify barriers to best practice
Identify inconsistencies across the practice
Drive consensus on controversial topics
Summarize key recommendations in context of the clinical workflow
Translate clinical notes into actionable text (eg, bullet points, Miro drawings)
Collaborate with editorial colleagues on drafts, revisions, and approvals
QualificationsQualifications
Advanced practice provider (NP, PA, or equivalent) with established clinical credibility
Breadth and depth of experience within the Mayo Clinic practice, including diagnosis and management
Experience with consensus building or guideline writing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong meeting facilitation skills (including sharing a screen, recording, navigating between documents or sources, and taking notes)
Ability to flex schedule to accommodate SME interaction
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Ability to adapt to fluctuating priorities and schedules
Ability to collaborate with clinical and editorial colleagues
