Passero Associates’ Rochester Office has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting Team.Position Overview: Responsible for managing the financial aspects of individual projects, including initialization, budgeting, cost tracking, revenue recognition, invoicing, and financial reporting, by closely collaborating with project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget and meet profitability targets, while adhering to company accounting policies and standards.Responsibilities:Daily interactions with department and project managers to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues.Analyze client contracts to understand financial implications and identify potential revenue and cost considerations.Monthly client invoicing, collections management and project budget monitoring.Assist with internal month-end reporting, reconciliations, adjusting entries and third-party audit requests.Support the ERP system (Deltek VantagePoint) and work with technical staff to maintain workflow and standardsAssistance the Executive Team (CEO, President) and ControllerAd-hoc reporting to aid with regulatory reporting and registrationsProvide backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, time sheets, and expense reportsQualifications/ Experience:BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, with 4-8 yrs. experienceExperience in the AEC industry or other professional service firm, preferredDeltek VantagePoint experience and/or other ERP systemStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality Ability to manage time with changing priorities and strong organization Continuous Improvement focus; able to streamline work processes/proceduresExcellent communication and customer service skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelSubmit your resume and cover letter today!
