Description We are seeking a Vehicle Acquisition Clerk to join our team in the Rental/Leasing Services industry in Rochester, New York. You will be instrumental in managing operations related to our vehicle fleet, including registration, renewal, documentation, tracking, and financial management. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities Handle requests for expired plates from different branches and ensure their needs are communicated to the central office. Assist with the renewal of expired NY plates using the DMV computer system. Send renewal documents (plates, registrations, and decals) to various rental offices. Maintain titles for all vehicles in the fleet as required. Prepare documentation and reports to help branches track progress in completing expired plate renewals. Assist with receiving and inspecting newly purchased cars. Print VIN stickers and other documents for cars in the fleet. Install all units operationally and financially for both Daily Rental and Truck Rental operations. Assist with plating new/used/purchased vehicles. Process vehicle payments in PeopleSoft and communicate needs to Business Management as required. Manage document moves between cities and to/from Administrative offices. Provide excellent customer service to local dealer contacts and branches. Interact daily with other department personnel and branches in a prompt and courteous manner. Requirements Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Proven experience in a clerical role, preferably within the Rental/Leasing Services industry Demonstrable proficiency in Data Entry Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Detail-oriented and highly organized Basic knowledge of vehicle models and specifications would be beneficial Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Must have a customer service-oriented mindset Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
