Job Details Responsibilities include: Delivers direct care to patients and maintains a safe and comfortable environment. Assists RNs and MDs with indirect care and procedures . Proficient in performing water cultures and cleaning/disinfecting dialysis machines Monitors and orders supplies as indicated. Interacts with all members of the interdisciplinary team. Performs approved procedures proficiently. Proficient in priming and setting up dialysis machines. Proficient with performing glucose finger sticks. Performs necessary tasks proficiently in an emergency. Uses proper hand washing and contact isolation technique with dialysis patients. Proficient in troubleshooting dialysis and R/O machines. Qualifications: High School diploma/GED or equivalent required; Completion of an approved Hemodialysis Tech training program required Hemodialysis Tech Certification required. Experience in a patient care setting is preferred; excellent verbal and written communication skills. BLS certification through the American Heart Association required Salary Range USD $26.22 - USD $29.45 /Hr. Adheres to Mercy Medical Center/department policies and procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.
