Checking Research Foundation (RF) exempt and non-exempt records to the RF's Oracle business system

Notifying employees of discrepancies

Interprets RF time and attendance rules and regulations

Following up with RF Central Office to ensure corrections for payroll input are made; vacation payouts are properly computed; and proper documentation is retained

Answers questions and resolves payroll and time issues for RF employees on campus.

Ensuring proper communication among the ESF Office of Research Programs, on-campus RF employees, and RF Central Office on new and resolved payroll issues

Human Resources:

Provide excellent customer service including answering telephone, greeting visitors, and information dissemination for Research Foundation appointments.

Processing cost transfers between New York State's payroll to RF's Oracle system.

Prepare and transmit monthly termination notices and employee end of employment letters

Assist with personnel transactions in a confidential manner

Other:

Assist with other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in an office setting or a combination of higher education and experience.

Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to follow up with stakeholders to ensure approvals are obtained and processes are completed

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Customer-service oriented with the ability to work within a team and multitask in a fast paced, confidential, deadline-driven environment

Ability to identify, research and resolve problems, and follow-through on tasks with moderate direction

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Oracle Business Systems and Oracle BI Reporting

Experience with payroll processing

Experience handling confidential information

Experience in Conflict of Interest monitoring

Experience in requesting, collecting and organizing business-related information from large groups of non-business-oriented individuals (e.g. College faculty)

Experience collecting, analyzing and reporting on large financial data sets
