Job Title: Component EngineerJob DescriptionProvide EEE parts review for cost estimates. Provide compliance matrices. Translate program requirements to screening documents for all EEE parts. Translate program requirements to SCDs for EEE parts with part screening codes. Coordinate SCDs review and approval with customers and suppliers. Review parts list for prohibited parts and correct parts with screening codes. Generate Program Approved Parts Lists (PAPLs). Generate Non-Standard Parts Approvals (NSPARs). Review supplier documentation for completeness to SCD requirements, including travelers and test procedures. Review incoming inspection documentation on shipments from suppliers. Enter incoming inspection information into MS Access database or PLM. Generate Discrepant Material Reports when necessary and resolve issues and provide disposition. Review parts for selected parameters, electrical, Date Code as specified by the customer or FEI Engineering. Filing and pulling apart folders or PLM.Hard Skills

Job TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Uniondale, New York.Work EnvironmentThe company designs and manufactures satellite communication systems for the aerospace, space, and defense industry, located in Uniondale, NY. The Mechanical Design Group will be working under a new Design Supervisor. The group consists of 2 designers and the Design Manager. The candidate needs to be sr-level due to the current team structure. Attire is casual, and the company provides lab coats to wear over clothes. Working hours are from 7:30 am to 5:15 pm, with every other Friday off. Candidates can expect to work between 5-20 hours of overtime paid at a rate of 1.5%.
