DescriptionRobert Half Finance has an opportunity for you to become a critical part of an innovative company, as a full-time Staff Accountant. To be successful, challenges and multiple moving components should excite candidates. This Staff Accountant role's duties will require preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you will succeed in this role. Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Bank reconciliations experience required
General ledger experience
Deep understanding of account reconciliation
Current and relevant ERP system experience
