Brightspeed is searching for a Senior Engineer (Inside Plant) to join our team! As Senior Engineer (Inside Plant), your primary role will be building our robust core network supporting our ethernet products, 1gig fiber services, Fiber-to-the-Tower (FT3), voice conversion, transport backhaul and more.  You will develop detailed engineering designs including materials, implementation plans and costing estimates to support and install the new equipment working closely with the high-level plans and outlines prepared by Brightspeed Planning.  You will utilize mechanized tools including: IQGeo, AutoCAD, WFMT, WMS, ARMOR, Service Now, TIRKS, and the full suite of Microsoft Office. In this role you will survey, design, and implement ISP plans inclusive of ethernet, transport, power and inter-office fiber technologies.  In addition, you will interact with internal customers, vendors, suppliers and maintain open conversation with planning and all company departments to provide a high-quality platform for reliable and high-speed experience for our Brightspeed customers.As Senior Engineer (Inside Plant), your responsibilities will include: Developing/defining plans for the implementation of new ISP installation or modifications to existing facilities Preparing plans and specifications, to include gathering field data collected through field survey visits sometimes with vendor/contractorsAssuring and communicating that the most feasible, practical, and economical means to complete the work are utilized Providing cost data to support capital planning and budgetingMonitoring and controlling project expenditure Overseeing the installation/construction and testing of plant facilities, meeting the required commitment datesDesign circuits that interconnect the new platform with the legacy environment; Transport, Metro/Core Ethernet devices, Access Devices, etc.Participation in resolving test and turn-up; as well as, interoperability problems to obtain acceptance of new equipment adds/augments to the network  Transport channel mapping, circuit design planning and provisioning of transport/ethernet circuitsSupporting acquisition and implementation of hardware and software as well as attaining subcontractor services as needed
