Join our team and be at the forefront of financial technology innovation.Your future duties and responsibilities:As a Java Developer responsible for working on E-Trade applications, your job responsibilities would include:Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance e-tradeapplications. Implement features related to electronic trading within the capital markets.Market Data Handling: Gain an understanding of market data, including aggregated, consolidated, andmontage books. Participate in post-trade feed flows, including calculations for settlement.Technology Expertise: Utilize your Java expertise to write, tune, and configure code for e-tradefunctionalities. Work with messaging systems (such as JMS or native). Familiarize yourself with Spring, Maven, and Docker. Interact with relational databases (preferably Postgres or Oracle). Troubleshoot and optimize Linux-based systems.Additional Skills (Nice-to-Have): Understand risk metrics (DV01, CR01) and their implications. Be aware of strategies used to position specific inventory sectors. Gain insights into micro-market structures exploited by algorithmic partners. Familiarize yourself with any relevant regulatory organizations. Advanced Technology Skills (Nice-to-Have): Explore tick databases and real-time market data streaming. Automate processes where applicable. Work with data pipelines. Gain experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.Required qualifications to be successful in this role:Capital Markets Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital markets. Familiarity with corporate bond electronic trading market structures (HY and IG).Market Data Understanding: Some knowledge of aggregated, consolidated, and montage books.Post-Trade Flows: Understanding of post-trade feed flows and settlement calculations.Technology Skills:Java Expertise: Proficient in writing, tuning, and configuration-driven Java code.Python Fundamentals: Basic understanding of Python programming.Messaging: Deep experience with messaging systems (JMS or native).Spring, Maven, and Docker: Familiarity with Spring framework, Maven build tool, and Docker containers.Relational Databases: Experience with relational databases (preferably Postgres or Oracle).Linux Scripting: Highly skilled in Linux scripting for troubleshooting and host tuning.Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field#LI-TSCH1CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
