Review invoices and check requests for appropriate documentation before approval.
Set invoices up for payment, process, and track expenses and transactions.
Perform timely account reconciliation by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Schedule and prepare checks, resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies, and ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
Maintain accounting ledgers as required.
Maintain historical records by filing documents electronically and physically.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor information.
Initiate credit memo requests, follow up on credit issues.
Assist in quarterly and year-end audits.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
2+ years of experience in accounts payable.
Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, and experience with accounting software.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
