Local law firm seeking administrative assistant with bookkeeping/ Quickbooks experience for part time position. Duties include:
Answering phones and taking messages or forwarding calls, Transcribing dictations of legal documents and various correspondence, Invoicing for law office, Tracking income, fees, and office expenses using Quickbooks desktop, Accounts reconciliation, Filing legal documents, deeds, and probate documents as needed using either USPS, or e-filing using Court’s online portals, Forwarding documents and serving clients, or other law firms using either USPS or e-mail, Occasionally request medical records, some knowledge of HIPPA Releases, etc.,Client file maintenance, digital and hard copy,
Office supply inventory,For the right person, training is available for certain aspects of the position (examples: Deeds, E-filings, creating documents and Trusts, etc.) However, candidate must have ability to type, use Word, Excel, and basic use of Quickbooks. As well as know how to use basic office equipment such as phone, computer, printer, copier, scanner, email, and calendar.
Pay based on experience, legal experience a plus, but not a requirement. Somewhat flexible scheduling available as well.
