Position: Critical Care Transport RNDepartment: CareFlight Air & Mobile ServicesFacility: Miami Valley HospitalShift: Part-time Days 7am-7:30pm/ 48 Hours Per PayThe Critical Care Transport Nurse functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The Critical Care Transport Nurse utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to provide safe and rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients by a mobile intensive care to a higher-level medical treatment facility. The Critical Care Transport Nurse provides advanced emergency/critical care during medical transport and may also provide nursing care for patients throughout Premier Health. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions. Critical Care Transport Nurse is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standardsEducation: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN PreferredLicensure/Certification:

Valid Ohio RN license

The following certifications are required at the time of hire

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Certified EMT-B OR Professional Nursing Certification preferred

The following certifications are required with the specified timeframe following hire:

90 days- ITLS or PHTLS

1 year- NRP, ATLS (audit)

2 years- CAMTS approved Nursing certification and Certified EMT-P in the State of Ohio

Experience: Minimum 3 years of current RN experience in the Emergency Dept or Critical Care setting. Pre-Hospital or critical care transport experience preferred. Special Consideration: If the candidate has a minimum of one year of previous experience with CareFlight Air & Mobile Services as a Paramedic, they must have an additional 4,000 hours critical care experience as an RN in an ICU or an emergency department to be eligible to reapply to the program as an RN. This in lieu of the above required 3 years’ experience.Knowledge/Skills:

Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
