For more information visit www.uop.com.As a Lead Project Engineer, you will be joining a team of project professionals supporting one of Honeywell's businesses. You will lead the implementation of project engineering plans, processes, support programmatic MOS (Management operating systems), support forecasting & capacity analysis related to delivery requirements. You will support business leaders and present detailed requirements, actions, and status as assigned. You will also be working under moderate supervision of a Sr. Program Manager to execute within scope, on-schedule, and meeting cost targets. Key Responsibilities
Have the ultimate responsibilities of understanding the customer specification requirements and ensure their integration into the Mechanical Flow Diagram (MFD)
Manage the development of the detail design for new and existing products lines
Hold weekly meetings with the discipline engineering team members/ detail designer/ fabricator to address project development status and solve challenging technical requirements and problems
Coordinate equipment procurement activities (modules, vessels, exchanges, rotating, instrumentation, and miscellaneous equipment)
Manage the fabrication process and partner with the fabricator to deliver equipment that exceeds customer’s expectations
Manage technical interface with customers, detail designer, fabricator (s), and internal discipline team
Obtaining necessary documentation (UOP & customer specifications) for preparing equipment purchase requisitions.
Coordinating review of vendor equipment drawings and specifications for conformance to UOP requirements
Managing the project quality plans and checklists
Coordinating and attending customer factory acceptance testing at vendor facilities.
Providing support to Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and other relevant UOP departments involved in the execution of assigned projects.
Participating in infrastructure work to create/revise departmental standards, specifications, and procedures.
Identifying opportunities for continuous work process and productivity improvements on project activities
Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members
Provide sales support for project opportunities being pursued
International Travel to customer and supplier sites – 20% annually in 1 to 2 weeks’ duration
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
10-15 years of experience in a project engineering/ engineering project management role focused on mechanical equipment, modulization design of systems utilized in the refining, petrochemical and/or gas processing industries Experience with EPC Contractors
10+ Years of Project Engineering
10-15 Years of experience in projects, design engineering, and construction
