We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer, to join our L3Harris Engineering Team. You will be part of a Team that is responsible for the design of electrical power distribution systems for special-mission, business-jet class aircraft and meet FAA or Military airworthiness standards. Responsibilities include developing electrical load analyses, preparing wire diagrams and wire harness fabrication drawings. Such modifications typically include production liaison and integration and verification test. Experience with cockpit avionics, navigation and communications systems and integration is also desired. This role requires a strong technical background, analytical thinking, proactive mindset and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Job Description:
Must be capable of interpreting and analyzing customer documents and needs defining system-level architecture.
Design modifications for special-mission aircraft. Such modifications typically include the design of electrical power distribution systems, developing electrical loads analysis, wiring diagrams and harness fab drawings.
Utilize experience with cockpit avionics upgrades, navigation and communications systems and integration to meet FAA or Military airworthiness standards.
Perform anayses and trade studies required to satisfy system performance requirements.
Effectively communicate as part of a multi-disciplinary team working together to ensure that the aircraft system modifications contribute to the overall success of the program.
Knowledge of FAA or Military airworthiness standards is a must and the ability to iterate design approaches with the cognizant airworthiness authorities is critical.
Creates professional, data-driven presentations for briefing technical decisions or recommendations both to internal stakeholders and external vendors/customers.
Have a strong desire to learn, possess good interpersonal skills and decision making/critical thinking skills.
Able to work any shift, weekends and overtime, as required.
Travel, up to 15%, or as required.

Essential Functions:
Ability to productively use desktop software applications such as standard MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and related software tools, is required.
Works effectively and efficiently in a virtual environment with tools such as MS Teams, Jira, etc.
Demonstrated experience on an advanced model-based CAD system for electrical system and wire harness design and Product Lifecycle Management system. A working knowledge or experience with Capital Harness and Teamcenter is desired.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
U.S. Citizen.
Applicant must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
