You think that you want to be a farmer. Do you "REALLY" want to be a farmer. Regardless of what kind of farmer? We are looking for the right person to eventually become the manager of a small pork production farm, aka a pig farm. We sell at six farmers' markets from Eugene to Portland and supply several restaurants. To qualify you must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, be willing to start as a farm worker part-time with flexible hours as work load demands, learn animal husbandry knowledge, take classes that enhance skills needed, take small business class(es) to increase business skills, and have good customer skills.
