S&S Sheetmetal is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our accounting team. This position will be responsible for maintaining and processing the daily activities and transactions of the Accounting Department related to payroll, with front desk duties.
We are a mid-size company, which means we all wear different hats at times. You must have great customer service on phones, computer skills, be organized, and be able to multi-task.
CONSTRUCTION PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Answer phones
Take down work orders as needed.
Job Cost Payroll
Certified Payroll
Certified Payroll Reporting
Responsibilities:
Answer phones
Create work orders as needed
Collect all weekly timecards
Review and calculate timecards
Enter job costing and prevailing wage payroll
Balance payroll to timecards
Print checks
Additional duties Construction bookkeeping is a +
Send all certified payroll to the assigned General on the project
Send out submittals (we will/can train)
Tracking and sending out warranties on construction projects.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping practices and procedures
Two (2) years of experience construction job-costed, and prevailing wage payroll
Skills in operating a computer terminal, ten-key calculator, Excel, and organizational work.
