We are in the midst of renovating and opening up a new hotel in Westlake, Oregon! This location was previously known as the Fish Mill Lodges & RV Park, we are renovating and reopening it up as the Florence Waterfront Hotel, expected open date is March 2025, as such we are looking for a creative and competent Hotel Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the property and help us grow the property!

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Interaction and Experience:
1. Act as the face of the hotel, warmly welcoming guests and ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
2. Build relationships with guests, creating connections that turn visits into unforgettable memories.
3. Upsell and promote packages, such as romantic setups or activity bundles, to enhance guest stays.
4. Host and organize engaging experiences like campfires, s’mores nights, or small events.
5. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues with precision, ensuring a flawless experience.
Day to Day Operations:
1. Oversee daily operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments.
2. Coordinate and monitor housekeeping schedules, ensuring rooms are spotless and ready on time.
3. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and amenities to maintain high standards.
4. Handle inventory management, vendor coordination, and supplies restocking.
Team Leadership:
1. Lead, mentor, and manage cleaners and other staff members to ensure seamless operations.
2. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
3. Train team members to deliver exceptional service that aligns with the hotel’s vision.
Creativity & Innovation:
1. Develop and implement creative guest experiences and personalized touches to make stays special.
2. Work closely with the owners to brainstorm and execute ideas for future property growth.
Tech Savviness:
1. Operate and maintain the hotel’s booking system, ensuring smooth digital operations.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve any basic tech issues efficiently.
Attention to Detail and Communication:
1. Maintain accurate records for reservations, guest preferences, and operational reports.
2. Communicate effectively and consistently with owners and team members to ensure nothing is overlooked.
3. Over-communicate updates, needs, and plans to ensure alignment with the owners’ vision.
Event Management (Nice to Have):
1. Plan and execute events for guests or group bookings to enhance the overall guest experience.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a hotel or similar hospitality property.
2. Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
3. Highly reliable, with a commitment to being present and dependable every day.
4. A friendly, bubbly personality with a passion for connecting with guests and providing outstanding hospitality.
5. Tech-savvy and comfortable working with hotel management software and digital tools.
6. Ability to live on or close to the property in Westlake, Oregon.
7. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
