Description: This is a 2 month project and the ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of hands on experience working with hardware troubleshooting, deployment, or imaging. The role is field technician work so you must have a reliable means of transportation.Looking to add 2 desktop field technicians for their summer restore project. They will be assisting going around to schools in the Portland metro area checking that all technology is functional and ready for the start of the school year. Assisting with tickets, checking functionality, deploying new computers, troubleshooting, software updates.Duties and responsibilities:● Breakdown and prepare computer equipment for the move to the new buildings.● Set up and test computer workstations and VoIP phones for offices, classrooms, and computer labs.● Install software and ensure any previously installed software is functional.● Track, document and report daily progress using a spreadsheet or other means.● Address questions from school staff pertaining to the tech deployments or escalate to the Team Lead.● Various other technology-related tasks as directed by the PPS IT Team Lead.Requirements and qualifications:● Knowledge of and experience handling various computer and AV hardware including but not limited toPC/Apple/Chrome desktop and laptop computers and tablets, document cameras, mobile laptop chargingcart, UST projector, Airtame wireless device.● Excellent communication and organization skills and ability to follow instructions.● Work as a member of a team to accomplish a goal and meet specified timelines.● Ability to lift, and move various technology hardware (not to exceed 30 lbs).● Provide own, reliable transportation to the designated sites.Experience Level:Entry LevelAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
