Pizza chef & Grill boss

Lenné Estate has an immediate opening for a talented chef to operate our outdoor cooking station, featuring a brand new pizza oven and grill, plus a full indoor commercial kitchen. The idea candidate has experience creating a pizzas from scratch, marinating and grilling meats and veggies, creating skewers, and the creativity to expand and improve our menu and food offerings. A chef who could handle other culinary duties, such as private dinners, would be a plus.

The work would be chiefly on weekends throughout the Summer and Fall, with occasional evening and weekday special events + prep and food sourcing. Off-season work would be less regular, but still available.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake artisan pizzas.

- Prepare and cook meats and veggies on the grill.

- Assemble and serve gourmet charcuterie boards and various small bites.

- Operate and maintain kitchen and deli equipment, including the oven, grill, and meat slicer.

- Ensure consistent portion control, quality presentation, and adherence to standard recipes.

- Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and prep areas at all times.

- Assist with prep work including slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing fresh toppings.

- Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs to the General Manager.

- Comply with all food safety guidelines and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

- Experience in a culinary, deli, or food service role; wood-fired oven and grill/BBQ experience is a plus.

- Creativity in preparing and creating new menu items with a focus on wine & beer pairing.

- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, high-energy environment.

Physical Requirements:

- Frequent movement and physical activity for extended periods.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and communicate clearly.

- Able to lift, carry and/or move 50 lbs regularly.

Working Conditions:

- Combination of indoor and outdoor work, with approximately 75% outdoors in varying weather conditions.

- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.

- Fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment centered around food, beer, wine, and guest engagement.

Compensation:

$26-38/hour, DOE. Plus tips and incentive bonuses.
