DME Billing Manager (Oregon)

Job Summary: Direct BHC’s billing team with the highest level of insight and support of our overall billing process. Responsible for overseeing claims operations including; software compliance, reimbursement and payment analysis, process and best practice implementation, and ensure timely collection on all of BHC’s accounts receivables. Works directly with a third party billing vendor to achieve greater BHC billing and claims process objectives. Upholds BHC’s core values: Judgement, Integrity, Stewardship, Responsibility in all billing functions and operations.

Billing Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Work directly with a third party billing vendor to identify and resolve claims processing errors within BHC internal process and third party payors.

-Work directly with Executive Team to ensure claims are being processed according to our contracts, monitor for claim errors in processing system and/or policy

-Oversee all areas of billing within BHC for all lines of business

-Develop, recommend and implement plans, policies, and programs for claims management activities to assure compliance.

-Maintain billing software compliance. ie; EDI, Payor setup, etc.

-Oversee and collaborate with third party billing vendor on billing operations, claims processing and quicker AR collection

-Customer service; Available on billing phone queue to answer questions and follow up of client questions.

-Proficient in reporting systems to provide financial reporting and monitor outcomes as well as to provide reporting to the Executive Team as needed.

-Monitor day to day, evaluate performance and accountability of assigned staff

-Participate and provide input in monthly weekly/monthly meetings

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with other departments in the successful resolution of operational issues.

Qualifications:

-Bachelors Degree OR Commensurate work experience

-Minimum of 5 years experience in DME billing

-Proficient in medical billing software; preferably Brightree

-Ability to learn complex computer programs quickly and in depth

-Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
