Sr. Financial Systems Analyst

Description Senior Financial Systems AnalystA client of ours is looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst for a contract role. The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our financial systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance. As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to identify business requirements, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in leveraging technology to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis capabilities.Responsibilities of Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Lead the administration, configuration, and optimization of financial systems, including ERP, budgeting, planning, and reporting tools.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, identify system enhancements, and propose solutions to address complex financial challenges.

Design, develop, and implement system enhancements, customizations, and integrations to meet evolving business needs and improve operational efficiency.

Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial data and reports.

Provide training, support, and documentation to end-users to maximize the utilization and adoption of financial systems and processes.

Partner with IT teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to recommend innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead or participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to financial systems, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, business processes, and user guides.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, CBIP) is a plus.

8+ years of experience in financial systems analysis, implementation, and support, preferably in a large corporate environment.

Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and business processes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members

Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
