THE POSITION

You will have the opportunity to serve as principal administrative officer of a major board or commission. An employee in this job may be responsible for exercising broad supervision over many technical and clerical staff. Additional responsibilities include:
Maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external partners
Planning, directing, and organizing divisional operations and priorities
Maintaining knowledge of applicable workforce development laws and policies
Initiating, implementing, and evaluating programs, services, and policies
Analyzing proposed legislative changes

Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the nearest headquarters office.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Administrative Officer 3 (Commonwealth Title); or
Six years of experience in progressively responsible and varied officer management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, and procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
