This role is situated within the Office of Medical Assistance Programs (OMAP), specifically in the Bureau of Fiscal Management's Division of Budget and Contracts, and it reports to a Fiscal Management Specialist 3.In this capacity, you will oversee the monitoring of operating expenditures to ensure they align with budgetary limits, facilitate communication among the program, the Department of Human Services (DHS) Budget Office, CHIP, Procurement, and the Comptroller's Office, and conduct tracking and analysis to support cost containment efforts and Program Revision Requests (PRRs) throughout the budget cycle. Furthermore, you will assist OMAP by providing budgetary and fiscal support in the development and oversight of both program and administrative appropriation budgets.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with last Wednesday of the month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1; or
One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
