Kieffer at gkieffer@pennstatehealth.psu.edu (MAILTO://gkieffer@pennstatehealth.psu.edu)SUMMARY OF POSITION:This role is a key leadership position within the Value Based Care & Population Health team and will be critical to Penn State Health's commitment to Community Health as directed by the Affordable Care Act and the IRS. This role is responsible for leading the Community Health Department community engagement and health improvement activities, providing strategic guidance, managing team development, and providing leadership in the ongoing work of the Penn State Health Community Health and Population Health strategies. These responsibilities include establishing and leading community health activities, including program development; program implementation; community outreach; securing funding and partnerships; leading employee volunteerism; measuring impact & community outcomes; and building connections with internal staff and committees as part of the response to the community needs assessment and managing charitable giving and the charitable and community engagement budgets. This role also is responsible to establish, build and enhance relationships with key community stakeholders; and stakeholders across Penn State Health.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing or related field

Seven (7) years experience community efforts of a large organization required.

Five (5) years experience: management responsibility, including experience with budget management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Master’s Degree

Strong knowledge of community history, heritage and culture

Well developed professional network in the region

Outgoing personality

Strategic thinking

Presentation skills
