The Senior Area Coordinator of Food and Beverage Experience brings passion for the legacy of the Hershey’s brand to life at Hershey’s Chocolate World. This position is focused on and prioritizes guest service exceeding expectations of each visitor. It requires a focus on exceptional customer service and expects the individual to be approachable, courteous, knowledgeable about our products, able to clearly communicate with guests and assist them with questions, and able to provide general information to guests with a high level of professionalism. This position is the Senior Area Coordinator within the Food and Beverage department. Responsibilities include employee training, merchandising and replenishment, making operational decisions, supporting department inventory, and delivering the highest level of customer service. The Sr. Area Coordinator will be a responsible party of driving the highest standards for all food processes and food safety. Major Duties/Responsibilities: Role model and deliver exceptional customer service Demonstrate Hershey Behaviors through motivation, inspiration, education, and communication Conduct training for new employees within a front of house food location on proper processes and service standards Support the Senior Assistant Supervisor team with any tasks or operational needs Maintain merchandising standards and acceptable inventory levels in specific areas Support and complete prep work appropriate for the food and beverages offered within work stations Responsible for cleaning work stations and equipment according to standard operation procedures and weekly/monthly schedules Responsible to complete daily temperature logs, properly rotate, label, and store prepped food items; monitor hot and cold food holding temperatures; and other food safety duties Perform other related duties such as assisting with cashiering or stocking and restocking inventory React to guests concerns and questions quickly with a heavy focus on guest recovery and problem solving in the moment Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: Ability to multi-task and work independently Candidates must possess (or be able to complete within 6 months) Pennsylvania RAMP server training and Food Handler certification Friendly, enthusiastic, and team player attitude Perform basic side work tasks (stocking, prepping, and cleaning) Serve alcoholic beverages according to SOP with appropriate glassware and garnishes Perform beer, wine, and food server skills typical of a kitchen environment (knife skills, follow recipe, attention to detail, etc.) Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions Ability to work at a fast pace for an extended period of time Must maintain a neat appearance and meet the uniform standards Must be able to continuously push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds Must be able to walk or stand up to 8 hours Position requires repetitive tasks with repetitive motions Position requires pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, and twisting Position requires communication skills Ability to function effectively as part of a team Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Individual with a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required At least 1 year of experience in high volume restaurant, hotel, or catering operation is required Experience serving alcohol is preferred but not required What’s in it For You?
