We are currently looking for a skill packaging line attendant. The Reese plant has been producing Reese’s products for over 60 years. The facility is known for its rich history and commitment to quality, producing millions of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups daily. Job Summary: The Packaging Line Attendant (PLA) at Hershey’s Reese location is responsible for maintaining and operating packaging machinery, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety standards. This full-time role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Function of Job: As a Packaging Line Attendant, you will monitor tools and equipment for wear and tear, ensuring product quality and personal safety. You will notify supervisors or QA of any issues. This role requires maintenance skills and technical aptitude. Specific Job Duties: · Safely use power and hand tools. · Maintain cleanliness and safety of the area, tools, and equipment. · Handle approved chemicals safely. · Perform QA checks every 2 hours. · Operate, service, adjust, repair, and troubleshoot wrapping equipment. · Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, preventive, hydraulic, and electrical skills. · Replace infeed and product discharge belts as needed. · Assist in item/weight changes and training of maintenance personnel. · Perform additional duties as assigned. Required background skills and minimum qualifications shall include: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the industrial, military, or owner/operator trades environment. Food manufacturing experience is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to effectively function in a fast-paced team environment High school diploma or G.E.D. Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must be flexible to work any shift and work weekends, holidays and overtime Must be authorized to work in the United States Must have a basic understanding of PC’s and basic computer skills, machine shop & welding skills Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests Must achieve a passing score on both a written and practical mechanical assessment General Manufacturing Requirements: · Train on various lines and equipment in a fast-paced environment. · Work effectively in a team, ensuring safety and maintaining line efficiencies. · Maintain cleanliness and safety following GMPs, quality control standards, and safety regulations. · Follow Hershey EHS, Food Safety, and Quality guidelines. · Adhere to Hershey Lean Principles and Autonomous Maintenance Activities. · Work 8-12 hour days in a 24/7 environment. · Lift 5-60 lbs. frequently and occasionally 60-80 lbs. · Frequently bend, stoop, reach, lean over, climb, or stand as required.
