Description We are in search of a Director of Accounting to join our team in the financial services sector in Horsham, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will lead the accounting and advisory teams, focusing on providing top-notch services to entrepreneurs and closely-held business owners. You will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve financial success through growth, transition, and retirement.Responsibilities: Spearhead and manage the assurance components of broader client engagements, ensuring practice deliverables and quality. Offer advisory services that encompass entity setup and restructuring, budgeting/forecasting, capital transactions, and financial analysis. Gain a deep understanding of client operations and processes to provide relevant advice and solutions. Mentor a team of staff accountants, assisting them in growing their skills. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base. Utilize accounting software systems to streamline accounting functions. Perform auditing tasks and manage budget processes. Handle complex tax returns such as federal income tax return, estate tax return, and income tax accounting. Contribute to mergers and acquisitions (M& A) operations. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry Proven expertise in Accounting Software Systems is necessary Should have in-depth knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience in Auditing is required Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential Must have handled Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) Experience in managing Complex Tax Return, Estate Tax Return, Federal Income Tax Return is crucial Expertise in Income Tax Accounting is needed Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
