SummaryJob DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Project Manager, provides leadership, guidance and direction for assigned projects to ensure successful implementation. Identifies problems in critical pathways, reports findings and makes recommendations to the appropriate members of the management team.HOURS: Part-time, clinic hours Thursday's 4:30 - 8:00 pm. No weekends, holidays or on-callESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

Supports the ongoing analysis of processes, associated with Professional Billing Services, to identify opportunities for Revenue Cycle process improvement based on best-practice workflows and available software functionality.

Provides end user assistance with problem solving and troubleshooting of simple and intermediate issues at the technical and application levels within the revenue cycle applications; escalates complex issues as necessary.

Coordinates and facilitates project meetings, prepare status reports, and support problem solving for projects related to assigned projects.

Routinely triage problems by gathering and documenting problem details and determine root causes, correcting the problem, or elevate the problem to the appropriate level.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

Maintains strong project management skills. Stays current on technology, project management skills, processes and implementation methods.

Promotes team building and communication for project teams.

Provides additional project support in other areas of the organization as directed.

Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management, Business Administration, or related field. Extensive experience may substitute for education.

One (1) year experience conducting meetings, preparing status reports, and supporting user/team members with problem solving.

Knowledge and experience working with data analysis tools, patient accounting systems and office programs such as Microsoft Access and Excel

A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of system and data requirements, financial management and health care reporting. Knowledge and experience working with patient account management systems.

Two (2) years’ experience of medical office experience.
