Work with the guidance of the Associate General Counsel – Corporate, providing legal counsel in support of tactical and strategic business initiatives.

Effectively handle assigned legal activities for various business units, functions or legal practice areas (including HR, Immigration, Finance, Tax, IT and other corporate functions).

Structure, draft, review and execute key corporate documents.

Assist in drafting, coordinating and managing all activities supporting Ensono’s Board of Directors.

Support and assist all corporate transactions (including mergers and acquisitions) and integration activities.

Research, understand and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.

Develop and modify practices, policies and procedures to conform with business requirements and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Remain current of state and federal laws and regulations and emerging legal risks.

Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, And Abilities:

Understanding of corporate legal principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and external contacts (including outside counsel).

Ability to work well under constantly changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Critical analysis skills related to identifying and solving problems in a busy corporate environment.

Experience working with and training non-legal colleagues.

Experience driving continuous improvement in processes and performance.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal direction and/or supervision.

Self-starting and solutions-oriented team player.

Maintains composure during tight deadlines.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education and Experience:

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Active member in good standing with the Illinois State Bar

2-3 years’ proven experience in a related field (prior mergers and acquisition/private equity experience in a corporate legal department a plus)

Experience at a large law firm (plus) / or as in-house counsel required
