CHEF - Breakfast and Lunch (Berwyn)

Em J’s Cafe in Berwyn is looking for a CHEF with Breakfast/Lunch Experience to join our culinary team! We serve all-day breakfast and lunch from 7:30 AM until 1:30 PM 5 days a week.
Our goal is simply good food, done right! If you have a passion for cooking, and love working with great people in a fun environment, come join the team! We operate a mostly scratch kitchen and offer Weekly Specials.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
PROFESSIONALISM, LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE, COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY.
We expect our chefs to have a deep respect not only for their own work, but their teammate's work also.
CONSISTENCY in our plate specs and recipes for meats, sandwiches, salads, sauces, etc. is essential.
Must be able to operate our kitchen in an efficient, and organized manner, and ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices; Serve Safe Certification required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
We have a Kitchen that is visible to the public and the performance of this position requires that the individual come into contact with our guests and coworkers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
