This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in mailroom operations and a dedication to maintaining high standards of service.Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily mailroom operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

Coordinate and lead all aspects of the sorting and distribution of mail to various departments and individuals within the organization.

Ensure compliance with postal regulations and company policies.

Maintain accurate records of mailroom activities, including tracking and reporting on mail and package volumes.

Train and mentor mailroom staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.

Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to mail delivery or processing.

Operate and maintain mailroom equipment, including postage meters, scanners, and sorting machines.

Manage inventory of mailroom supplies and place orders as needed to ensure continuous operation.

Develop and implement mailroom procedures using standard methodologies to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special mailing projects and bulk mailings.

Ensure the mailroom is organized, clean, and secure at all times.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in mailroom operations or related fields is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mailroom or similar environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

Proficiency in operating mailroom equipment and software.

Knowledge of postal regulations and shipping procedures.

Attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.

Ability to lift and move packages and mail, up to [insert weight limit].
