Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician $25-30/hr!Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for efficiently performing all work orders and turnovers. Maintenance Techs should have a high level of trades experience and participate in the overall cleanliness, appearance, and quality of the property. They will also provide the maintenance necessary to maintain curb appeal and presentation of the community.Responsibilities

Prepare and perform all necessary repairs and replacements to apartments in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry for all systems, equipment, appliances, and components.

Respond to all service requests, apartment turnovers, and on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner.

Report to immediate supervisor any problems and/or issues relating to safety or management of the property.

Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency service call duties.

Essential Skills

Experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, mechanical systems.

Proficiency in electrical repairs, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, and carpentry.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of all hand and power tools, cleaning supplies, and protective equipment.

Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage unhappy customers and/or difficult situations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must provide own set of hand tools, or accommodations can be made.

Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions as needed.

Skill sets are preferred in the areas of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliances.
