Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a skilled SEC/SOX Analyst. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing the SOX 404 compliance efforts, coordinating key control testing, and assisting the SEC reporting team with various projects. Responsibilities: Execute SOX 404 compliance efforts, including planning, prioritizing processes, and managing its aspects to ensure timely completion annually. Review documentation and test plans of key controls, analyze and determine appropriate actions for identified deficiencies. Champion the Accounting and Financial Reporting macro business process. Facilitate the completion of the SOX fraud risk assessment. Manage the SOX 302 sub-certification process, which includes facilitating quarterly completion of self-assessments by business process owners. Assist the SEC reporting team with a variety of projects and duties, such as preparing SEC work papers, conducting disclosure preparation, and undertaking research projects. Maintain a deep understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC Regulations, SEC Reporting, GAAP Accounting, and US GAAP.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Proficient in SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and controls Strong understanding of SEC regulations and reporting requirements Experience in GAAP Accounting, specifically US GAAP Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Strong understanding of internal control structures and risk assessment Familiarity with financial statement preparation and consolidation Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
