The Opportunity:

This position will primarily manage Avantor's Corporate's Foreign Exchange (FX) Risk Management function, including exposure analysis, forecasting, modeling, reporting, accounting proposals and review, maintaining a hedge portfolio and ad hoc projects. In addition, this position will support other Corporate Treasury processes and, as needed, participate in inter-departmental projects.This role will work Hybrid to Radnor, PA. The expectations will be to work in the Radnor, PA office 1 day per week. It is work from home the other 4 days of the week.What we're looking for:Education: BS in a related field (accounting, finance, economics)Experience: 8+ years total experience, ideally with 2+ years in foreign currency and FX derivatives (must have FX Forward)Experience implementing a hedging program(s)Familiarity with SAP and FX electronic trading platformsSome team leadership experience preferredWho you are:Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong negotiation skillsStrong working knowledge of MS Excel (PowerPoint a plus)Strong working knowledge of SAPSelf-motivated and organizationally-effective individualFull understanding of Foreign ExchangeFull understanding of US GAAPAbility to work in a multi-cultural environmentProven ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others as well as work well with people at a wide range of levelsOrganizational, time-management and setting & meeting deadlinesAbility to multitask and work well under pressure and tight deadlines while retaining strong attention to detailKnowledge of corporate finance, financial reporting, risk management, capital markets and foreign exchangeAbility to perform research on complex accounting matters; including ASC 815Experience working in an environment requiring quick turn around and in-depth financial analysisHow you will create an impact:Assess global subsidiary balance sheet positions to identify and enumerate FX exposures in conjunction with local Finance team membersLiaise with Treasury, FP&A and Accounting to implement FX hedging strategy to mitigate FX revaluation risk and collaborate on inter-company transactionsPartner with Treasury, FP&A and Accounting to develop and implement FX Risk management standard methodologies, policies and strategies based upon the Company's balance sheet objective and liquidity risk management practices including use of spots and forwards, swaps, and options tradingCollaborate with Accounting for all Treasury related derivative activityPrepare FX analytical reporting required to effectively monitor foreign exchange risk, and report results of risk mitigation effortsEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures impacting FX transaction management activities and propose the design and implement new controls and processes where requiredIdentify opportunities for finance transformation, modernization and automation including system implementations and functional optimizationActively collaborate with Accounting teams to transfer knowledge on FX derivative transactions and ensure proper recordation under US GAAP, consistent with best practicesAbility to leverage process partners and team members in completion of the assigned task, projects, and responsibilities.#LI-Hybrid
