OverviewSavannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Deputy Manager, SWPF/ESD Facility Maintenance to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.This Deputy Manager provides support to the Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF) and/or End Stream Delivery (ESD) Maintenance Manager and acts on his/her behalf by providing leadership for facility projects and facility support organizations. Plans, organizes and directs short and long-range resource requirements and programs to continually improve Conduct of Maintenance, and fosters a Nuclear Safety Culture.Responsibilities

Provides leadership for facility projects, and facility support organizations during implementation of facility changes, and other improvements including procedures (both maintenance and administrative).

Oversees safe maintenance activities for assigned facilities/areas in support of company objectives and mission.

Ensures facility requirements are met and all maintenance activities consider and adhere to applicable Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, DOE directives, and best management practices.

Provides clear lines of communication across departments and provides the interface necessary to ensure activities are progressing as scheduled.

Supports the Maintenance Manager in all maintenance activities associated with SWPF/ESD facilities or a combination of facilities as directed by the company.

Assists the Maintenance Manager with resources to ensure staffing and budget requirements are met. Selects and qualifies maintenance personnel.

Enhances morale and performance of employees through effective coaching and leadership to increase productivity and efficiency.

Fosters an environment in which all work is performed utilizing DOE/INPO Conduct of Operations Standards and HPI tools within a Safety Conscious Work Environment.

Oversees departmental implementation of safety, training, environmental and quality programs.

Assists the Maintenance Manager with the maintenance training program in accordance with the qualification plan to ensure personnel are trained and qualified to support milestones.

Assists the Maintenance Manager in the interface and prompt response, resolution and closure of all compliance issues resulting from self-assessments and independent reviews by ORR, QA, DOE, DNFSB and other auditing groups.

Assists the Maintenance Manager in the development and implementation of maintenance programs to ensure compliance with Conduct of Maintenance, DOE Order 430.1B.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Science (e.g. Physics, Chemistry) and progressive professional experience in engineering, maintenance and/or operations; or

BS in a non-technical degree and progressive professional experience in engineering, maintenance and/or operations; or

High School Diploma and progressive experience/secondary education in a technical, engineering or operations field. Experience must include a broad spectrum of maintenance work experiences.

Additional Information:This position falls under DOE Order 426.2 and must meet the education/experience requirements under the orderPreferred Qualifications

Able to apply advanced technical, engineering, and scientific concepts to process equipment problems

Previous leadership/management experience dealing with a broad range of employees, cultural backgrounds, education, and experience in a large multi-disciplined organization.

In depth knowledge of Site Maintenance policies and procedures related to the jobs function

Current SRS Liquid Waste facility maintenance experience.
