JOB TITLE: Estimator LOCATION: Aiken, SC JOB DESCRIPTION The Estimator will be responsible for developing and reviewing cost estimates in collaboration with engineering teams, ensuring that project budgets align with technical approaches and schedules. The role involves working closely with supply chain teams, schedulers, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate pricing and resource allocation. The Estimator will also participate in review processes, implement feedback, and contribute to the preparation of detailed estimates for a variety of projects. This position is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills and a desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

Review source data, including engineering documents.

Work with engineers to develop estimates aligned with the proposed technical approach and

P6 activities.

Identify needed resources and work with Supply Chain to obtain current and accurate pricing

for resources as required.

Work with Schedulers to load resources from estimate onto correct activities.

Participate in review process and implement comments and feedback.

Work with senior cost estimators and engineers to develop cost estimates aligned with the proposed technical approach and project schedules.

Apply working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to project controls.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to provide proof of US citizenship.

Minimum of 8years of experience in estimating, project controls, or a related field.

Familiarity with Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards related to project controls.

Experience working with engineering teams to develop estimates and collaborating with supply chain and scheduling teams.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering and construction documents.

Proficiency in relevant estimating tools and software.

Compensation for this position is hourly ($60/hr) based on experience, background, and skills. POSITION DESCRIPTION Represents construction management on the project team and has ownership of the more complex projects and / or work authorizing documents (WAD) technical, cost and schedule baselines. Administer and ensure compliance with elements of the direct hire or subcontract management program on a site-wide basis. ​​​​​Develop programmatic changes and enhancements to the subcontract management program in order to satisfy DOE concerns and directives on a site-wide basis. Interface with facility management for work scope, estimate approvals and funding distribution and with project controls and construction execution for scope development, estimate preparation and approval and construction planning. Coordinate all aspects of assigned complex construction projects and maintenance orders to their overall successful completion by ensuring that construction efficiency is optimized from conceptual design to financial closing. Review and evaluate labor and material cost reports and identify positive and negative variances to total budgets and annual operating plans. Validate alignment of technical scope with baseline schedule and project / CMO estimate for constructability and approval of baseline schedule and estimates. Participate in establishment and approval of technical, schedule and cost baselines for projects and CMO\'s. Perform comprehensive review and evaluation of preliminary scope, design, schedules, and estimates for new projects to determine constructability and accuracy. Through use of experience and knowledge while monitoring progress of projects and maintenance orders, identify problems / potential problems to the technical / cost / schedule baselines and implement the necessary corrective actions. Interface with project management, DOE, design, procurement, field management and superintendents at different team levels to accomplish milestones in a safe and cost effective manner. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor\'s degree in a technical discipline and 11 - 13 years of practical experience in construction. In depth knowledge of construction costs, scheduling and the ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques. An Associate\'s degree 13 - 15 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent.
