Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated PM Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coastal cuisine, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. As PM Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to ensure smooth dinner service operations, uphold our commitment to quality and consistency, and contribute to the overall success of Sandbar Restaurant.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and execution of dinner service, focusing on quality and timely delivery of dishes.

- Supervise kitchen staff during evening shifts, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to expedite orders and maintain efficient communication between the kitchen and dining room.

- Monitor food quality and consistency, adhering to established recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.

- Contribute ideas and suggestions for menu development, special promotions, and improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a sous chef or lead line cook in a high-volume restaurant, preferably in seafood or coastal cuisine.

- Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for food.

- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and demands.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation best practices.
