Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. This role is in the industry of financial services and will offer a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Controller, you will handle critical accounting functions, manage budget processes, and play a significant role in annual financial reporting and auditing. Responsibilities: Oversee accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely management of all financial deadlines Manage auditing activities by coordinating with internal and external auditors Play a crucial role in budget processes, including planning, coordinating, and reviewing budget proposals Utilize Unanet and Costpoint - Deltek systems in the management of financial operations Prepare annual financial reports, ensuring they comply with laws, regulations, and organizational policies Conduct forecasting and modeling to predict future revenues and expenditures Prepare and interpret cash flow statements, providing recommendations for financial risk management Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards Manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems and generate reports using Crystal Reports Operate Accounting Software Systems - Financial Services for efficient financial managementRequirements Proven experience in managing Accounting Functions Expertise in Auditing tasks and processes Familiarity with Budget Processes Proficiency in using Unanet software Experience with Costpoint - Deltek system Ability to prepare Annual Financial Reporting Skills in Forecasting & Modeling Knowledge in preparing Cash Flow Statements Understanding of Compliance requirements and standards Ability to assess and manage Financial Risk Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
