Electronically document any errors or faults as needed.Starting pay: $20.67 USD hourlySHIFT / SCHEDULEQuality Inspectors are required to work 8-hour shifts, on the following schedule:2nd Shift: working Monday through Friday, from either 3:00PM to 11:30PM OR 3:30PM to 12:00AM.Quality Inspectors are currently working an average of 5-8 hours of overtime each week (after shift, Monday-Friday).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.Inspect in-process and/or finished production assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards.Read and follow visual aides, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures, determine acceptance or rejection of product.Work under close supervision of Manufacturing supervisor or other designated supervisor.Follow standardized and routine written directions and visual aides for assigned quality assurance inspection operations.Visually inspect products using magnifying glass, lot sampling methods, first article checks, and /or AOI machines.Enter standardized information into computerized MES system using simple keystrokes to indicate pass or failure of board.Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or equivalent required with at least 2 years\' experience in a relevant Jabil production position or equivalent external work experience. Experience in printed circuit board manufacturing or a degree in a related field preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individuals primary workstation is located on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Quality Inspectors are required to wear appropriate PPE, including: hearing protection, composite toe shoes, and protective eyewear. Production Supervisor will oversee production processes and assists Supervisor in establishing production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.RESPONSIBILITIES:Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards. Also assists in obtaining data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Helps to minimize excessive material on production floor.Assists in the coordination of production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.Reviews and discusses production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems with production supervisors.Assists in the minimization of scrap and materials request order (MRO) usage. Ensures that each workstation has a clean operating area. Assists in the implementation of operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve metrics.Monitors all production metrics and completes monthly report card. Seeks continued improvement in lowering line and plant defects per million (DPM).Ensures that line employees read, understand and adhere to appropriate policies and procedures. Ensures proper stocking and availability of operation supplies and equipment.Assists in monitoring the SPC system to fix repetitive and recognize problems immediately.
