Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our Real Estate Property/Facilities Management team based in Goose Creek, South Carolina, United States. The successful candidate will handle various accounting tasks, such as maintaining accurate financial records, processing customer credit applications, and managing financial inquiries. Responsibilities include: Ensuring accurate records of all financial transactions are maintained and updated regularly. Managing the flow of funds between different departments within the organization. Preparing and forecasting annual budgets for various departments, including adjustments based on financial trends and conditions. Managing the Fixed Asset Schedule, including adding, removing, and tracking current assets. Performing regular reforecasting of income and expenses, providing reports to the manager on accounts anticipated to exceed budget. Ensuring adequate cash flow management, including making sure all fund accounts are covered by FDIC insured levels. Updating charge codes annually based on the Approved Annual Budget. Handling accounts receivable duties, such as taking cash deposits to the local bank and ensuring checks have been properly sorted prior to scanning. Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Caliber RM, HOA, Property Management Software, Property Management Accounting, and Payroll. Requirements Must have proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Bank Reconciliations is necessary Must have a solid understanding of General Ledger Ability to perform Journal Entries is required Should be able to handle Month End Close activities Familiarity with Caliber RM is preferred Experience in HOA management is a plus Proficiency in Property Management Software is necessary Experience in Property Management Accounting is key Knowledge of Payroll processes is important Applicants should hold a degree in accounting or a related field Prior experience in a similar role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is necessary The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and the ability to multitask is essential The candidate must demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism.
