Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the legal industry, based in Greenville, South Carolina. This role will involve handling various accounting functions, including accounts payable, foreign currency transactions, and accrual accounting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Accounts payable with background working for law offices.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Utilize accounting software systems to maintain precise customer credit records Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, ensuring high-quality service Monitor customer accounts and execute appropriate actions as needed Handle accounts payable activities, including account coding and accrual accounting procedures Use the Concur system for efficient management of accounts payable Manage foreign currency and foreign exchange transactions Support billing functions and participate in the overhaul of related software systems Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient management of accounting functions Collaborate closely with the team to ensure smooth operations and high performance.Requirements Minimum of three years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar within the legal industry Proficiency in account coding and understanding of accrual accounting principles Experience with accounting software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools Knowledge of Concur software for expense management Familiarity with various accounting functions, particularly accounts payable (AP) Understanding of foreign currency and foreign exchange transactions Experience in billing and invoice processing Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
