HR Payroll Medical Billing Specialist

HR Payroll Medical Billing Specialist - Full Time, Dayshift, in officeJOB PURPOSE:To assist with administrative functions of the office.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for reporting daily census changes to billing department and maintaining monthly census log.

Facilitate proper and timely billing by maintaining lines of communication with billing department.

Responsible for weekly submission of accounts payable information and for maintaining system to ensure invoices are submitted and paid.

Clinical record management.

Perform receptionist duties for the office.

Order supplies as directed by Administrator.

Provide secretarial support to the Administrator and office staff as needed.

Maintain personnel files and ensure items are updated monthly.

Track signed physician orders.

Perform other duties as assigned by Administrator.

Ability to communicate effective in written and oral form.

Ability to establish rapport and work effectively with a variety of people.

Must be well organized with ability to clearly set priorities.

Ability to handle confidential matters.

Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Possess knowledge of computer software, including proficiency in word-processing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

Participate in center/agency surveys (Licensure/JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.

Attend and participate in continuing education programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification as required.

Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.

Honor patients/residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.

Comply with corporate compliance program.

Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection and prevention, smoking regulations, infections control, etc.

Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.

Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
