Description Robert Half currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their growing team. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Participate in various department-wide initiatives Requirements - Less than one year of experience preferred
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Solid understanding of month end closings
Cost accounting experience
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
