Description We are in search of a meticulous Billing Clerk to join our team in the Professional Services industry located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a Billing Clerk, you will play an integral role in managing and analyzing our company's billing procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include processing invoices, managing account cancellations and delinquencies, and addressing customer requests. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity, with fantastic exposure to a dynamic, growing organization.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer invoices and manage account cancellations and delinquencies. Collaborate with Process Analyst(s) to investigate and handle billing exceptions, including partner policy interfaces, credit card exceptions, and policy and pricing health exceptions. Perform root cause analysis and determine corrective actions to ensure proper application of payments to customer’s policy. Monitor and track the status and progress of all exceptions, providing detailed reports on the resolution of exceptions. Review and categorize credit card declines into action-specific buckets, and process credit card resolution. Investigate Credit Card Charge-Backs and provide timely responses to Credit Card Institutions. Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with billing industry standards and industry trends. Identify opportunities to streamline all activities and improve efficiency. Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate customer records and perform various billing functions. Provide effective communication on the status of activities, ensuring timely resolution of customer inquiries.Requirements Proficiency in accounting software systems Experience with computerized billing Knowledge of accounting functions Familiarity with accounts receivable (AR) Proficiency in managing billing functions Understanding of Excel formulas Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferredAll candidates must undergo drug and background screening for consideration Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
